The Department of the Town Local History Museum is located in the former building of the flour-grinding stores — those of the oldest town merchants’ trade constructions. The skillful brickwork and the decorative design of the outer walls make it possible to maintain the architectural layout of the town center as it looked in the 19th century. At present paintings, graphics, sculptures, and applied objects of art are exhibited there: porcelain of Russian and foreign factories, stained glass objects, artful pieces of furniture.
