The church of the Nativity of Mother of God is a brick church of the type «an octagon on a tetrahedron», built in 1768-1789. During the 19th century it was greatly enlarged and reconstructed in classicism structures — side-altars (1875), a refectory (1830s) and a bell-tower with a steeple (1812) were built. There are also side-altars: of Yelets Mother of God and Borisoglebskiy; in the refectory Nikolskiy and of Mother of God Rewarding the Perished. In the 1930s the church was closed and remained empty until in 1993 it was returned to the believers and repaired.
